Dr. Amir S. Kazemi, PT, DPT, OCS, CSCS

Dr. Kazemi is the clinical director of our facilities. He holds a:
       ·Clinical Doctorate degree in physical therapy from
        Boston University
       ·Masters Degree in physical therapy from
        Old Dominion University
       · Bachelor of Science in psychology from
        George Mason University
Dr Kazemi is also board certified in orthopedic physical therapy, which requires many hours of direct practice in orthopedic rehabilitation and a successful score on an examination of advanced orthopedic rehabilitation skills. He has been certified by ACE (American Council on Exercise) as a fitness trainer since 1995 and NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association) as a certified strength and conditioning specialist since 1998. He has also been an assistant professor/adjunct clinical faculty with the physical therapy program at Old Dominion University since 2006.

 

Laleh Askari, PT MS

Ms. Askari obtained a Bachelor of Art in Biology in 2002 from University of Houston- Clear Lake. Upon completing her Bachelor degree, she was accepted into the Master of Physical Therapy program at Texas Women University. She graduated in 2005 with a Masters degree in physical therapy. She completed her last clinical internship at Apex Physical Rehabilitation and wellness under the supervision of Dr. Kazemi. She has been providing physical therapy treatment to patients at Apex since January 2006.

Trinia Guttuso, OTR, CHT

Trinia Guttuso OTR,CHT graduated from SUNY@Buffalo, NY in 1994 with an Occupational Therapy degree. After graduation she had the opportunity to work at The Hand Center of WNY with a group of renowned hand surgeons in the Buffalo, NY area. She later moved to Beaumont, Texas in 1997 sharing her knowledge with East Texas. In 1999, she acheived the honor of receiving her Certification in Hand Therapy.

A Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) is an occupational therapist or physical therapist who has a minimum of five years of clinical experience, including 4,000 hours or more in direct practice in hand therapy. In addition, the Certified Hand Therapist has successfully passed a comprehensive test of advanced clinical skills and theory in upper quarter rehabilitation. Trinia and her husband relocated to Florida and had their twin boys and 3rd son before returning to the great state of Texas. After taking some time to raise her boys, she is now returning to her passion of helping people with Upper Extremity injuries.

Kristin Horn PT, MS

Kristin Horn is a graduate from Texas Woman’s University. She received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in May 2004. She continued her studies with TWU and recently earned a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy. During school she completed two orthopedic and one pediatric neuro affiliation. She began working at Apex Physical Rehabilitation, while still in school, in May 2007 as a physical therapy tech. She is now at the Sugarland clinic working as a Physical Therapist.

Tiffany Laitkep, PTA

Tiffany Laitkep graduated from Wharton County Junior College in May 2006 with an associate’s degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant. She is a licensed physical therapist assistant. She has been with Apex Physical Rehabilitation & Wellness since October 2006 and has enjoyed working with the variety of patients in the Sugar Land area.

 

 

Jose Cortez, Tech

Jose Cortez Jr. joined Apex....at the beginning of 2005 as a physical therapy technician. Jose graduated from Sanford Brown school of physical therapy technicians.
Jose underwent a rigorous training program at Apex under the supervision of our therapists.
Jose is a good and a friendly technician on our team.
