Dr. Shijo Nirappil peaked his interest in the medical field when he volunteered at The Methodist Hospital in high school and got first hand experience working with medical personnel at the location. Physical therapy became his main focus because it combined his interests in anatomy and physiology with the ability to work for hands on with those he was treating. He expanded his knowledge on the field through numerous volunteering opportunities spanning outpatient, inpatient, and skilled nursing facility locations and received his professional education through the Stephani Doctor of physical therapy program at the University of Saint Mary. His interests include expanding his knowledge by taking opportunities for continuing education and keeping up to date on the latest research.
